Future Years group

Funded by the Kellett Fund through the Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland is a two year project combating the problem of isolation for over 50s in the city of Sunderland. Officially launched in January 2014 we have already begun a programme of activity including IT training and community outings. There are single gender sessions on offer and we are happy to welcome any community members over the age of 50 to our sessions. We are also looking for volunteers under 50 to come along to the sessions to offer interpreting and support.

The Future Years group is held in Sunderland Bangladeshi Community Centre on a regular basis and is well attended.
In this gallery you can see the participants taking part in Future Years and enjoying refreshments as they meet with others.
